Late last year, we learned that Mitsubishi would be sourcing a replacement for the current Lancer from the Renault-Nissan alliance, most likely based on either the Renault Fluence or Nissan Sentra. With that information in hand, and based on the dramatic styling of the Mitsubishi Evo X Final Concept, digital expert Theophilus Chin has created what he sees as the next-generation Mitsubishi Lancer.
His design borrows styling cues from the Outlander PHEV Concept S. You can see the obvious influence on the front end with the almost X-shaped cutout in the nose. Imagine having something like this sitting in your garage.
We love this design and think it would be a great addition to the Mitsubishi lineup. An all-new Lancer could debut as early as next year and then go on sale in 2016 as a 2017 model.
What do you think of this proposed design for a future Mitsubishi Lancer? Do you think this dramatic design language will help reinvigorate the brand?
