The Outlander Sport Limited Edition: Premium Design and Features

Outlander Sport Limited Edition

The new Outlander Sport Limited Edition trim level was recently revealed for the 2017 model year. This trim is one step above the ES base, offering a distinct style and added technologies. You won’t want to leave the driver’s seat of the new Limited Edition.

According to Mitsubishi, this model comes with tons of new features. This includes alloy trim and wheels, added fog lamps, HID lighting, and a rearview camera. You’ll also find Limited Edition badging to showcase this model’s exceptional design. The interior has renewed styling as well, with black fabric, red stitching, and aluminum trim.

“As the brand sales leader, Outlander Sport does an exemplary job of offering consumers unmatched value at an attractive price,” said Don Swearingen, executive vice president and chief operating officer, MMNA. “We’ve now taken that approach one step further by integrating additional standard equipment and technology into the Limited Edition at a price point that is unprecedented within the broader CUV segment.”

This model should be available through this model year, offering premium quality and design. Plus, the new Limited Edition has added prestige since only a few will be made, making the new Outlander Sport truly unique. We can’t wait to see this model in action.

Mitsubishi GT-PHEV Concept Hints at the Outlander’s Future

Mitsubishi GT-PHEV Concept

Mitsubishi hasn’t exactly kept quiet about the future of the Outlander, one of its most popular vehicles. The fast-selling crossover is bound to have an interesting future, especially with the reveal of the latest concept at the Paris Motor Show. The Mitsubishi GT-PHEV concept is the latest design to roll under the spotlights.

Mitsubishi already showed up two previous concepts of what the future of the Outlander could look like. The XR PHEV II at the Geneva Motor Show put an interesting spin on things. The EX concept took the stage at the Toyota Motor Show as well.

Now it’s the Mitsubishi GT-PHEV concept’s turn.

The crossover’s shiny grill leads into a sleek, flowing design characterized by chiseled lines that lead the eye along the sides of the vehicle. The GT-PHEV concept reportedly uses three electric motors and a conventional 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. The manufacturer-supplied battery is capable of reaching 75 miles on electricity alone.

The latest concept boasts a whole host of advanced technologies as well. That technology includes navigational-planning systems as well as all-wheel drive control to optimize performance.

Only time will tell which concept Mitsubishi will choose for the future of the Outlander crossover.

2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Earns NEMPA Yankee Value Award

NEMPA Yankee Value Award

Mitsubishi has been more focused on quality in recent years and now, for the second year in a row, one the brand’s most popular vehicles is receiving top recognition. The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport took home the NEMPA Yankee Value Award. Awarded by the New England Motor Press Association, the top prize isn’t given to just any vehicle.

The NEMPA takes New England’s spirit of perseverance seriously and to earn the award, a vehicle must show that perseverance as well. The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is practically the definition of perseverance. Featuring a standard 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, it’s easily one of the most value-oriented vehicles on the market, let alone the crossover segment.

Boasting a long list of features, like a rearview camera, heated front seats, and available all-wheel drive, the Outlander Sport was a shoo-in for the award. Combined with an incredible amount of cargo space and available roof racks, going further is a standard feature.

The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport proved itself to be one of the most quality-driven, reliably-made, and competitively-priced vehicles on the market. By creating such a top-notch vehicle, Mitsubishi continues to offer customers the best crossover on the market.

The New Mitsubishi ASX Hits New Dealerships in the UK

The new Mitsubishi ASX—known here in the United States as the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport—is expanding its territory. The innovative ASX model has now hit the market in the UK, where it includes plenty of new engine options and general upgrades to make it as appealing to customers as possible. Most importantly, it now offers a 1.6-liter diesel engine that gives you tons of power and efficiency.

Here in the United States, the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport comes with a couple other engine options, from the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to a slightly larger 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. The Outlander Sport offers nine different trim levels, gets up to 166 horsepower, and yet still yields up to 32 mpg on the highway. The Outlander Sport lives up to the “sport” in its title, but also comes with the safety and efficiency to make it an overall excellent vehicle.

The Outlander Sport is an even more important part of the Mitsubishi lineup now that the brand has decided to focus exclusively on SUV models. With a great exterior body design, great color palettes to choose from, and great in-car technology, it’s no wonder the Outlander Sport has landed on the “10 Most Affordable SUVs” list from KBB.com two years in a row. Still in Discussion – The Mitsubishi ASX Evolution Hybrid Crossover

With the stellar 2014 sales year and the success of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV in the UK market, rumor has it that Mitsubishi’s achievements might provide more opportunities to develop a high-performance, hybrid ASX (known as the ‘Outlander Sport’ to those of us in the States) crossover that will don the company’s Evo Badge.

So what might the specs look like? Expect to see a hybrid powertrain with all-wheel-drive, finely tuned to maximize the power-to-weight ratio capable of 300-something horsepower with sleek styling cues from the XR PHEV II concept.

“Ultimately it all comes down to the financial case for it and whether the company has the resources to do it,” said Mitsubishi’s UK boss Lance Bradley. However, he also adds, “We’ve got a lot of senior management talking about it.”

But, of course, this is just conjecture. And even if it does come to fruition, there’s no guarantee of it crossing the pond to the States.

While we wait with baited breath for the Mitsubishi ASX Evolution hybrid crossover, be sure to come visit us at Coronet Mitsubishi to see all of the available hatchbacks, sedans, and crossovers available to you today!

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Upgrade Includes More Powerful Engine

Depending on how you see it, the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is both the first and the last car you’d want Mitsubishi to improve right now.

Given that it’s Mitsu’s best-selling vehicle at Coronet of Peru and everywhere else in the country, one could argue the automaker should focus on its other offerings, though it makes sense that Mitsubishi would want to keep it at the top.

The Japanese brand will now offer a larger, 2.4-liter four-cylinder for both the Outlander Sport ES and GT trim levels, in place of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder. That will help add more legitimacy to the “Sport” version of the Outlander with an extra 20 hp and 22 lb-ft of torque.

In addition to packing a bigger punch, the 2.4-liter models will feature a black center bumper to help differentiate themselves from the regular models. The 2.4 GT will also add a power driver’s seat, black roof rails, LED turn signals in the mirror, and allow customers to opt for the GT Premium Package and GT Touring Package.
