The Outlander Sport Limited Edition: Premium Design and Features

Outlander Sport Limited Edition

The new Outlander Sport Limited Edition trim level was recently revealed for the 2017 model year. This trim is one step above the ES base, offering a distinct style and added technologies. You won’t want to leave the driver’s seat of the new Limited Edition.

According to Mitsubishi, this model comes with tons of new features. This includes alloy trim and wheels, added fog lamps, HID lighting, and a rearview camera. You’ll also find Limited Edition badging to showcase this model’s exceptional design. The interior has renewed styling as well, with black fabric, red stitching, and aluminum trim.

“As the brand sales leader, Outlander Sport does an exemplary job of offering consumers unmatched value at an attractive price,” said Don Swearingen, executive vice president and chief operating officer, MMNA. “We’ve now taken that approach one step further by integrating additional standard equipment and technology into the Limited Edition at a price point that is unprecedented within the broader CUV segment.”

This model should be available through this model year, offering premium quality and design. Plus, the new Limited Edition has added prestige since only a few will be made, making the new Outlander Sport truly unique. We can’t wait to see this model in action.

Mitsubishi Reaches Sales Milestone in 2015

In 1982, the Mitsubishi brand was first introduced in the United States with three models: the Tredia, Cordia, and Starion sedans. Fast-forward 33 years later and Mitsubishi reached a phenomenal sales milestone in 2015—it surpassed 5 million vehicle sales.

On Saturday, December 26, 2015, Mitsubishi officially reached the 5 million sales milestone.

“This is a great milestone for Mitsubishi Motors because it means that five million customers have entrusted the brand over the past 30-plus years, and we hope many more will give us that same opportunity in the future,” said Don Swearingen, executive vice president, MMNA, in a statement. “Our current sales momentum combined with a technologically innovative product pipeline primes Mitsubishi for great success in the U.S. for many years to come.”

Some of Mitsubishi’s most popular models over the years have been the Lancer Evolution, Montero, Galant, and 3000GT. Today, Mitsubishi’s sales leaders include the compact and ultra-fuel efficient Mirage along with the versatile Outlander Sport.

2017 Mitsubishi Mirage Updates Include Powertrain and Chassis Improvements

Mitsubishi has just announced that the Mirage will not be appearing as a 2016 model. Instead, the automaker will introduce a refreshed 2017 model in spring of 2016.

Mitsubishi wants to spend more time ensuring that the updates are strategic and implemented well. Car and Driver reports that the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage updates will be related to the powertrain and chassis.

At the time that it was released in 2014, the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage was the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid gasoline vehicle. With its 5-door subcompact design and affordable pricing, the Mirage was the perfect example of a car built for the demands of today’s driving.

And the 2015 Mirage certainly gained notice. Cars.com ranked the hatchback #1 in its New Cars for Penny Pinchers list. The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy named the Mirage to its prestigious Greenest Vehicles list. It’s this model that will remain available throughout the 2016 model year (2015).

In addition to a refresh for the Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback, Mitsubishi will also be introducing a sedan variant, which we have yet to see here in States but is already sold overseas. For more information, make sure to stop by Coronet Mitsubishi for all of your Mitsubishi needs.

The 2016 Outlander provides owners with 100 engineering and design upgrades. Not only that, but the SUV wears a sticker price of $22,995. That’s $200 lower than the starting price of the previous model.

“We designed the 2016 Outlander to be an unmatched value in its segment, so it’s no surprise to us that it leads the way on the Cars.com list of most affordable 3-row crossovers,” said Don Swearingen, Mitsubishi’s executive vice president.

“From its long list of features, to available advanced safety technologies and a new eye-catching design, the seven passenger Outlander is a leader in value and reliability.”

In addition to the vehicle’s purchase price, Cars.com also took into consideration estimated five-year fuel costs and the vehicles’ loss in value during a five-year period when determining this year’s most affordable three-row crossover.

The New Mitsubishi ASX Hits New Dealerships in the UK

The new Mitsubishi ASX—known here in the United States as the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport—is expanding its territory. The innovative ASX model has now hit the market in the UK, where it includes plenty of new engine options and general upgrades to make it as appealing to customers as possible. Most importantly, it now offers a 1.6-liter diesel engine that gives you tons of power and efficiency.

Here in the United States, the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport comes with a couple other engine options, from the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to a slightly larger 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. The Outlander Sport offers nine different trim levels, gets up to 166 horsepower, and yet still yields up to 32 mpg on the highway. The Outlander Sport lives up to the “sport” in its title, but also comes with the safety and efficiency to make it an overall excellent vehicle.

The Outlander Sport is an even more important part of the Mitsubishi lineup now that the brand has decided to focus exclusively on SUV models. With a great exterior body design, great color palettes to choose from, and great in-car technology, it’s no wonder the Outlander Sport has landed on the “10 Most Affordable SUVs” list from KBB.com two years in a row. New 2016 Mitsubishi Montero Sport Spotted in Thailand

Mitsubishi is preparing to release an onslaught of new and improved SUVs over the next few years, and the next nameplate to hit the market will be the 2016 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. This Montero Sport will be the third-generation of the stylish SUV, and we’re supposed to get our first official look at the Sport on August 1 in Thailand. However, Mitsubishi keeps giving us glimpses at the new car in advance.

First, we saw a teaser image of the new Montero Sport. The image shows the car draped in shadows, but we can make out some of the sleek, sexy new exterior design and even a bit of the wheels. The Montero Sport shares a platform with the L200 pickup, which gives it a unique driving look and feel in the SUV market. That platform was even more on display in a spy photograph of the Montero Sport over in Thailand.

The spy photographs were snapped in front of the Mitsubishi Montero Sport’s debut at the Bangkok International Grand Motor Sale. The Montero Sport also prefigures a new version of the normal Montero model as well. Come see us here at Coronet Mitsubishi to learn more about the Montero Sport, its new look, and the other upcoming Montero models!

Best November Sales for Mitsubishi in Seven Years

It seems seven was the magic number for November sales for Mitsubishi Motors North America. The company reported its best November sales since 2007, seven years ago, with nearly 7,000 vehicles sold. And guess by how much sales increased over November sales last year: 7.6%.

The only number that interrupts our streak of sevens is the number of consecutive months of year-over-year sales increases. November is the ninth month in a row in which Mitsubishi’s sales have increased over 2013 sales during the same period.

As usual, the Outlander Sport ranked as the automaker’s best-seller with 2,679 units sold. The Mitsubishi Mirage had a strong month of sales as well, earning a 30.1% increase over last year’s sales during the same period.

“We’ve seen nine consecutive months of year-over-year increases, with the Outlander Sport and the Mirage leading the way,” said Mitsubishi’s executive vice president, Don Swearingen. “We’ve also had a strong November for our Outlander and Lancer and are on track to continue this momentum through the end of the year.”

We at Coronet of Peru are looking forward to another month of successful sales to close out the year. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing you soon!
