If you’re still looking for a New Year’s resolution, there’s still time. Consider getting the new 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer. This model comes with excellent fuel economy and lower emissions—which is great for the environment—and it’s also affordable and sporty. Treat yourself while also reducing your carbon footprint. What could be a better New Year’s resolution?

According to Mitsubishi, the 2017 Lancer efficiency is 27/34 mpg city/highway. Under the hood is a powerful 2.0-liter MIVEC engine that generates up to 148 horsepower. You can also opt for the 2.4-liter engine, though it doesn’t get the same fuel economy as the 2.0-liter. In addition to MIVEC engine technology, you can also get a continuously variable transmission to save on gas.

The new Mitsubishi Lancer also comes with an electronically controlled All-Wheel Control (AWC) system that monitors your driving and actively transfers power to wheels as needed. This means you can drive more effectively on slippery surfaces like gravel, dirt, and snow.

The 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer is great for virtually any driver. If you were thinking about getting a new car, now is the time to buy. The Lancer comes with the latest features, an eco-friendly design, and a truly enjoyable ride. Test drive this model today.

New 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer Earns Four-Star Safety Rating

The new 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer offers drivers top safety features and now it has the backing of the federal government. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) rates vehicles based on their standard equipment and crash test results. This year, the Mitsubishi Lancer brings more safety equipment to the compact sedan segment.

The NHTSA awarded the new Lancer with a four-star safety rating, just one star shy of the highest available five-star safety rating. In all, the Lancer earned a consistent four stars in the front, rollover, and side crash tests.

This year, the Mitsubishi Lancer comes stocked with standard safety equipment like seven airbags, antilock brakes, electronic stability control, and traction control. A rearview camera comes standard on all trim levels, a new feature for the 2017 model year. The Lancer also comes with a standard drive-side knee airbag as part of its seven-airbag system.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, another federal government agency, has yet to rate the 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer. The 2016 model earned an Acceptable rating in the small-overlap crash test and a Good rating for all other tests.

Here at Coronet Mitsubishi, we’re pumped to see the new Lancer offering improved safety in the compact sedan segment!
