2017 Outlander Reviews - Coronet Mitsubishi

According to Edmunds, one of the best things about the 2017 Outlander is its impressive list of standard features. There’s no need to purchase extra upgrades and packages, as the standard features list is quite extensive. You’ll find standard three-row seating, automatic climate control to keep everyone comfortable, smartphone connectivity for extended media options, and a built-in backup camera for better safety.

U.S. News & World Report reviewers noted that the quiet cabin is perfect for families who enjoy a relaxing ride, while the high-quality interior materials will wrap you in comfort. U.S. News & World Report reviewers also commented that the standard three-row seating is an added perk, offering enough space for up to seven people.

The famed Car and Driver magazine made similar comments as Edmunds and U.S. News & World Report, but the reviewers also mentioned that the “handling is composed,” offering added control and stability even on slippery surfaces. Additionally, the affordable base price is notable, especially considering the extensive standard features.

Finally, Motor Trend reviewers commented on the minimalist interior design, a modern look that’s bound to set Mitsubishi apart from other brands. You’ll also enjoy the great fuel economy to help you save at the pump, and the roomy interior is perfect for cargo or added seating.

It can be hard to know if you want a car based on comments and reviews, and that’s one reason we encourage you to plan a test drive. You can see the Outlander’s comfort and styling in person, and you can also get a feel for the quality build and quiet cabin design.

2016 Mitsubishi Outlander is an IIHS Top Safety Pick+

2016 Mitsubishi Outlander IIHS 2016 Top Safety Pick+

When customers shop for a family SUV, safety is usually at the top of their list of desired features. At Coronet Mitsubishi, we’re proud to say that the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander, one of our most best-selling models, has been named a 2016 Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

For 2016, earning IIHS Top Safety Pick+ certification is no longer a matter of receiving the highest score of “Good” in all but one category. This time, models must earn the highest safety score in every crashworthiness evaluation, including small overlap front, moderate overlap front, head restraints and seats, side, and roof strength.

Even then, that’s only good enough for the Top Safety Pick award sans the plus sign. To get the latter, vehicles must also earn an “Advanced” or “Superior” rating for front crash prevention, which the Outlander achieved when equipped with optional Forward Collision Mitigation technology.

ALV Competition Names Mitsubishi Outlander SUV with the Best Value on the Road

The Active Lifestyle Vehicle of the Year Awards Competition, held annually by Carspondent.com, named the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander the SUV with the best value on the road.

The ALV competition took place in late October over two days at the San Marcos Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona. Designed to evaluate cars suited to drivers living “active lifestyles” such as SUVs and off-roaders and recognize the best of these segments, the ALV awards draw on the expertise of the local area media in Phoenix, the Phoenix Automotive Press Association, and enthusiasts from the Phoenix area.

The first day of the competition invites media to evaluate the cars, while enthusiasts come the second day. The jurors test drive the vehicles on multiple types of terrain and on regular pavement to test their capabilities before ultimately choosing the best vehicles in several different categories.

The new Mitsubishi Outlander was given the best value award because of its affordable price paired with a variety of enhancement options like all-wheel drive.
